Private Governance in Transnational Climate Governance

Dr. Lily Hsueh has begun work on a newly funded project by NOAA to examine how the implementation of rights-based management (i.e., catch shares) have influenced decision-making by fishermen about participation and effort across multiple fisheries.
Hsueh presented two papers at the 2016 International Studies Association (ISA) Conference in Atlanta, GA, March 16-19. Hsueh presented her new project with Stefan Renckens (University of Toronto), which examines how variation in institutional origin and design influence and shape diverse effects of TCG regimes. Hsueh also presented a solo authored paper that investigates the determinants of voluntary carbon disclosure by global businesses.
