How Institutional Provisions on the Access and Use of Materials and Data Affect Research Collaboration Structures and Outcomes

One CSTEPS team (Feeney, Siciliano, Taggert, Welch) has completed the first set of interviews for the NSF-funded project, Contested Resource Inputs to Science: How Institutional Provisions on the Access and Use of Materials and Data Affect Research Collaboration Structures and Outcomes (Proposal # 1360166). Drawing from interviews with 40 US scientists, the team will be developing a theoretical framework for understanding the ways in which institutional constraints are shaping scientific collaborative activities.
